Ed Fox |

Ed Fox, President of Pontifex Consulting Services, has worked in the public interest sector for over 35 years. He has experience working with local, state, national and international nonprofit organizations. Ed led an eight-person consulting firm in New York City for 10 years (1974-84), serving clients in five states. Since relocating to California in 1990, Ed has worked as an independent consultant to a variety of nonprofit organizations, and served five years as the Director of Major Gifts for the Wilderness Society's California, Nevada region. Ed specializes in strategic planning, organizational development, capital campaign management, and board development and training. |

Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. He received a Paralegal Certificate with Honors, with a concentration in Estate Planning in 1983 (ABA Approved) from Long Island University, Brooklyn Center, New York, New York. |

Ed is an active member of the Development Executives Roundtable in
San Francisco and National Committee on Planned Giving. He is currently on the Board of Directors of PlaNetwork, Inc., San Francisco, California, Hawaii Institute for Imaginal Arts, Hilo, Hawaii and the California Oral History Project, Tiburon, California. |

Diana Sanders |

Diana Sanders recently joined Pontifex Consultants bringing with her over twenty years of experience with non-profit organizations. Diana’s roles have included that of director, board member, events project manager, consultant and volunteer. |
|
As Director of Delancey Street Foundation’s Los Angeles facility Diana honed her skills at staff development and training, events planning, sponsorship development and management. She was instrumental in establishing and facilitating local business training schools, which served to generate revenue to support Delancey Street’s non-profit mission.

After moving to the Bay Area, Diana continued her work in the non-profit arena as the Events Project Manager with the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, focusing her attention on establishing an organizational structure within which this newly merged organization would flourish, while coordinating their annual events. She has also served as a consultant in events planning, facilitated staff training and development retreats for organizations including A Home Within, Bay Respite Care and San Francisco State University’s Romberg Tiburon Center. |

Diana earned her BA in Urban Studies at San Francisco State University, graduating Magna cum Laude. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of A Home Within, serves as an educator and mentor at Delancey Street Foundation, San Francisco and is participating in the LeadershipSF class of 2006 – 2007 exploring the needs and opportunities for community development and stewardship.

Tracey Thurston-Davis |

Tracey Thurston-Davis came to Pontifex after a 15 year career in nonprofit development and management. She has served in numerous capacities with non-profit organizations, as a development director, consultant, and volunteer. She specializes in conducting capital campaigns; major gift cultivation and solicitation; research and preparation of grant proposals; and board development. |
|
Prior to joining Pontifex, Tracey served as Development Director for the Okizu Foundation (Novato, California) and the Marin History Museum (San Rafael, California). In each of those positions, she was responsible for capital campaign management, the annual fund drive and grantwriting. Tracey has also served as a consultant to numerous nonprofit organizations in California for whom she has created major gift programs, provided grantwriting services, and implemented new board governance strategies. |

Tracey has extensive experience in corporate fundraising. She served as a staff member of the United Way in New York City, and designed and implemented the American Cancer Society of New York City's first corporate relations department. After relocating to Northern California, she worked as a consultant and campaign advisor for United Way in San Francisco. |

Tracey earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Hofstra University in 1988. In 1990 she received a Masters in Public Administration from C.W. Post College of Long Island University, Greenvale, NY. Tracey is a member of the National Society of Public Administrators, and National Committee on Planned Giving. She is a member of the Tiburon-Belvedere Rotary Club and serves as the Club’s International Services Chair. Tracey is founder and President of the California Oral History Project. |
